Pro Windsurfing Clinics with X-Train at West Wittering Windsurf Club

X-Train, alongside Peter Hart, Jem Hall and Sam Ross run pro windsurfing tuition every year based at West Wittering Windsurf Club. This page will be updated with course availability as and when courses are announced.

All our Pro Clinics are not inclusive of kite hire, however when you are on a Clinic you can rent your gear from us with a 50% discount.

Professional tuition is an ideal way of working on windsurfing’s hardest moves and these clinics generally focus on specific moves in windsurfing:

**NEW COURSE with JEM HALL – JUMP & LOOP COURSE - 4th May @ £120**

If the wind blows the course will run – if not, then we will roll this course over to the next date.

Standard required – Waterstarts, making gybes and tacks and can sail small boards in strong winds.

Jem will get you flying and ripping!

SPRING COURSES with PETER HART
Peter Hart, the original ‘uber’ guru, is once again teaming up with 2XS to run 2 courses this spring. The man needs no introduction. His knowledge and teaching style are second to none. This is your chance to be taught by a true legend of the sport. Here are the details so book to early to avoid huge disappointment.

PETER HART – GENERAL SKILLS MAKE-OVER (2 days)
When. 13-14 April
Required standard. Planing in the harness.
Maximum 7 people
Cost. £200
It’s all about nailing the basics and working through your own agendas – checking set-ups, stance, early planing, learning/improving waterstarts, tacks, gybes etc. Both days will include on beach simulation, loads of water time with one to one feedback; and video analysis. There’ll also be the chance to bond over a pie and a pint on Friday night.

PETER HART – LETS GYBE! (one day)
When: 17th April
Required standard: planing in the harness
Maximum 7 people
Cost: £120
We focus on the gybe, carving and non-planing versions, because it represents such a milestone. However, it’s impossible to coach the gybe without covering many related topics such as early planing, speed, sailing upwind etc. It’s a full day to include as much water time as you can handle, a heap of personal tuition and video playback.

SAM ROSS – Intermediate Instructor Course- 4 Days – 15-18 May 2012 @ £259

SAM ROSS – Loop Rollover Course – 1 Day (possible dates: 23rd or 24th July 2012) – £120

This clinic combines all the things you need to get those loops sorted, the right conditions, a like minded group of windsurfers and the coaching that can break this move down and make sure your skills and ambitions match.

We will spend the day, building skills, understanding how the move works and then putting into action. If the loop is a move you have been pondering or dabbling with then this course will help you make the jump from “would like to loop” to “I am looping”. As long as you are already sailing a board around 100ltrs in coastal conditions and can jump then those are the only skills you need.

SAM ROSS – Start Instructor course – 5 Days – 22-26 October 2012 @ £309

SAM ROSS – Rippers Freestyle Wave Camp – 2 Days – 27 & 28 October 2012 @ £120

We are running a Rippers Freestyle Wave Camp – from ages 10 years old up to 18years old- groups selected in ability and age ranges – Sam Ross will be assisted by Jamie Drummond over the 2 day course.

It is designed for young guns who can plane on their short boards and waterstart who are looking to develop skills to take them to next level.

The course will be full-on and fun for the 2 days with early starts and will incorporate: developing new manoeuvres; learning about competing in wave and freestyle; fitness-mental focus; kit tuning; technique and a mini comp on the second day.

There will be a push to try new manoeuvres and develop the next techniques and drills to take your windsurfing forward. SAM ROSS – Advanced Instructors – 5 Day Course – 12-16 November 2012 @ £309

On Pro Clinics no equipment is provided so you will need to bring along your own kit – or if you are short on a certain sail size, board then you can always hire kit from the X-Train Centre – prebooking is recommended.

The X-Train team are on-hand to help when necessary and we have jet-ski rescue.
